Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with UCSF! Volunteers serve for many reasons, but most come to help others and contribute to the community. In addition, volunteers may learn about the medical profession and be a part of a team dedicated to providing the highest quality health care.

Our volunteers may be asked to serve at any of the following locations:

High School Summer Student Volunteer Program 2016

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with UCSF this summer. All Summer Student Volunteer applications were completed by 12:00 a.m. on April 12, 2016.

We are very fortunate to have a great deal of community interest in volunteering and this interest often exceeds our available positions. We do not have a future orientation scheduled at this time. If you remain interested in volunteering, are 16 years old, and are available weekdays after school, please check our website for updates.

Thank you again for your interest!

New Online Onboarding System Coming Soon

UCSF Volunteer Services Team is committed to improving the volunteer onboarding process by creating an easy and efficient online system for the hundreds of potential volunteers each month who are interested in volunteering at UCSF.

We're still working on building the system but once it’s up and running, we’ll provide a link on our website so you can take care of your onboarding online.

When complete, our new website will allow all potential new volunteers to onboard with UCSF via the internet and also finish most of the necessary paperwork and training on your own including:

  • "What You Need to Know"
  • Required learning and classwork
  • Information and orientation
  • Immunization requirements
  • Background checks and more

Please keep checking back for updates.
